In The Room to Launch New AI Conversational Experience For Stroke Survivors and Caregivers

AI-powered “In The Room with a Stroke Survivor” has the potential to make a vital impact on stroke awareness through face-to-face experiences

Toronto, Canada – October 11, 2023 – In The Room, a conversational media platform that connects individuals, organizations and causes with a global community, is announcing the upcoming launch of the new “In The Room with a Stroke Survivor” AI conversational experience pilot project in partnership with the World Stroke Organization and Stacie Broek.

Together, they aim to make an impact on stroke awareness and recovery by combining Stacie's personal experiences with the World Stroke Organization's global reach, using In The Room’s technology.

The AI-powered platform is an exciting opportunity allowing users to have unique one-on-one interactions with stroke survivor Stacie Broek, who provides a valuable first-hand perspective on stroke awareness and recovery.

The “In The Room with a Stroke Survivor” experience offers a unique blend of personal stories, insights and valuable resources. In the video platform, users engage with Stacie by asking questions directly and through the use of cutting-edge AI technology, she answers immediately.

The vision is simple yet powerful: to provide a safe space where anyone can learn about Stacie’s experience with stroke, from the comfort of their own home and in their own time. By offering this perspective, the platform becomes a valuable resource for stroke survivors and caregivers looking to navigate the recovery journey.

"In openly sharing my journey, my hope is to redefine the stroke narrative as a story of strength and transformation,” said Stacie Broek, stroke survivor.

“With the increasing global impact of stroke, it is imperative that we explore innovative approaches to reaching people when and where they need support. Learning from lived experiences is essential to person centred stroke services, and our collaboration with Stacie and In the Room highlights the possibility of this technology for people impacted by stroke." said Dr. Michelle Nelson, World Stroke Organization.

The conversational experience will be launched during the World Stroke Congress in Toronto taking place from  October 10-12, 2023. The conversation can be found here.

“Interactive conversations that provide real human connections are a powerful tool to help, support and transform other people’s lives by building trust and understanding. There is tremendous power in this approach for health and wellbeing, and Stacie and the World Stroke Organization are with us at the forefront of these innovations,” said Sarah Coward, CEO and Co-Founder, In The Room Global Ltd.
